If you want to get the picturesque birds eye views of Reykjavik, you need to head up the tower in Hallgrímskirkja Church. The entrance fee is 700 krona (roughly £3.50) which isn’t a bad price to pay for the view.
This is the best way to appreciate the colourful, toy-like houses that make Reykjavik so unique. From here, you’ll see the city in all directions, perfect for panoramic pictures if that’s your thing.Another great place to see the city from above is at the Perlan, a revolving restaurant and gift shop at the top of Hill Öskjuhlíð. Don’t worry, you don’t have to order anything to see the views. The added bonus of this place is that it’s free to go up to the viewing platform where you can see the city from every angle. Aren’t those views amazing? Scandinavian architecture with a backdrop of snow capped mountains. Simply beautiful.
