Top 5 High-End Vegan Shoe Brands

April 11, 2016

It’s been a white since I’ve talked about shoes and I miss talking about shoes so let’s talk about shoes! More specifically, let’s talk about high-end designer shoes.

As you know, I only promote vegan, fair trade products and they are rare to come by in the world of designer shoes. It’s leather, snake skin, suede, lamb skin, skin skin skin everywhere you look. It’s hard to find good-quality, wearable shoes that are going to make you stand out in a good way. Luckily, there are lots of vegan shoe brands out there, but high-end shoes are still hard to come by. Thank goodness for me and my amazing research skills to find the best of the most expensive, ethically made shoes. Let’s start this list!

1. Amélie Pichard & Pamela Anderson (Photographed by David Lachapelle)

French designer, Amélie Pichard teamed up with 90s icon and vegan activist, Pamela Anderson (who I’m basically in love with, by the way) to create beautiful, vegan shoes inspired by bohemia and 90s fashion. They are made in France with non-toxic materials and 10% of the proceeds go towards the Pamela Anderson Foundation. How cool is that? Shop here if you’re interested.

2. Mink Shoes Rebecca Mink started the company, Mink Shoes, to provide a luxurious alternative to leather shoes made from vegan materials by Italian shoemakers. Each shoe is inspired by a different animal and are sure to make your feet stand out from the crowd. Shop here for Mink Shoes.

3. Stella McCartneyStella McCartney is a well-known vegetarian designer who makes shoes from sustainable sources and usually with vegan materials (she sometimes uses wool so be careful to check the materials). Stella McCartney is one of the few vegetarian designers to break into the mainstream whilst still supporting charities and promoting sustainable fashion. Go Stella! Shop here if you’re interested.

4. Ivana BasilottaIvana Basilotta is an Italian designer with limited edition luxury vegan shoes, proudly made from ethical materials and “no one’s skin”. These shoes are girly and beautiful so definitely worth checking out. Shop here.

5. Cri De Coeur

Lastly, it’s vegan designers Cri De Coeur, who despite being high-end, are somewhat on the affordable side for all us wannabe high end shoppers. They use non-toxic, cruelty free materials and are motivated by their love for vegan shoes and the need to create unique alternatives to the leather counterparts. Shop here.

    Nice shoes!
However, I’d like to see some high end vegan men’s shoes!
    That would be awesome.

For men’s I would recommend Good Guys Don’t Wear Leather but other than that it’s not really my area I’m afraid.

Hi Scott, you could try Brave Gentleman, Will’s Vegetarian Shoes or Ahimsa…all offer a great selection and a range of prices, although Brave Gentleman is the most expensive. Hope that helps!

I think you should have made it clearer that Amelie Pichard is not an exclusively vegan brand.
Only the shoe collaboration with Pamela Anderson can claim to be cruelty free.
I almost bought the gold glitter derby’s, thinking that they were the most beautiful vegan shoes I had ever seen. Oops!
