It was in Sydney, more specifically Bondi, where I discovered I have a bit of a brunch problem. During my time there, I woke up early every day to devour different brunches and I don’t regret a thing. It was my intention to get fat in Australia, I’ll have you know.
Actually, I scrimped and saved all my money earlier in the trip, eating cheaply so that I could throw the money I saved at Sydney’s cafes. It was all a part of my master plan to live my best life. Once again, I don’t regret a thing.
But let’s not waste any more time. Let me tell you about my favourite brunch spots near Bondi Beach.
The nine is a casual bistro with plenty of options for both vegans and non-vegans. It wasn’t difficult for them to replace the milk in the porridge with almond milk for me and the red velvet latte I ordered was divine. And look how pretty is it!Speedos Café
Speedos is popular for a reason. Not only is it located with a view of the most famous beach in Australia, it’s got an extensive vegan menus with waffles, pancakes, hotcakes, porridges, smoothie bowls all topped with a mountain of fresh fruit. Absolute heaven!Preach Café
Any café with the motto “to eat is human, to eat well is divine,” is alright in my book. Preach has vegan pancakes stacked tall with a shot glass of maple syrup and several other plant based options on the menu. Oh, and it’s popular so make sure to book a table or get there early.
