Spilling the Secrets of the Red Light District

The Red Light District was one of the few places in Amsterdam that actually lived up to my expectations. It was like stepping into this bizarre world where rules had flown out the red-lit window and in it’s place were prostitutes and drugs. Visiting the Girl with the Pearl Earring

When travelling I like to overestimate the amount of time to spend in one place. Five days in Amsterdam sounded perfect in theory. I even cut days out of Luxembourg and Antwerp to spend extra time in Amsterdam because of all the great things I’ve heard about it. This might have been the biggest mistake of the trip. The thing about Amsterdam is… I didn’t like it. I’m sorry Amsterdam! I’m not someone who usually bashes cities because I can find beauty in the least visited places, but for me, Amsterdam was severally overrated. Alternative Museums in Amsterdam

Amsterdam is famous for museums such as the Rijksmuseum and the Van Gogh museum, but little ol’ me wasn’t about to pay €17 for the privilege. Sorry Vince, I was once a fan but now I see your beloved city is charging more for a ticket than you earned in a lifetime and that just doesn’t seem right to me.
